DJ Cuppy Buys Customized Rolls Royce Phantom Worth N162m

Popular Nigerian DJ and singer,  Florence Otedola  a.k.a.  DJ Cuppy  has bought a customized Rolls Royce Phantom estimated at N162 million. The 26-year-old  daughter of billionaire  Femi Otedola , took to her Instagram handle @cuppymusic to announce, with a picture of the car. “After a 13-month wait, finally picked up my new specially built order! Florence Ote #NewYearNewRide.’’ Cuppy, who is also a producer won Best Female DJ at the 2015 Nigerian Entertainment Award. Black Panther Gets Oscar Nomination In Seven Categories

Marvel Studio’s  Black Panther  movie has become the first superhero movie to get nominated for the ‘Best Picture’ category of the prestigious Oscar award. The nomination is a first since the last 90 editions of The Oscars. Black Panther also got nominations in six other Oscar categories namely best costume design, best original score, best original song, best production design, best sound editing, and best sound mixing.

Thousands Sign Petition To Stop R-Kelly’s Concerts In Germany

Thousands of people in Germany have signed a change.org online petition in an attempt to stop the two concerts by  US Singer, R.Kelly This is coming in less than a month after Lifetime media released a trailer, showing stories of women who allegedly have been physically and emotionally  and sexually abused by the singer, The singer has however denied the allegations in the  ‘surviving R-Kelly ‘ documentary. Already today, almost 22,000 people have signed the online petition, the motto of which is  “Don’t give  sexual  offenders a stage.’’ The petition calls for concerts planned in Ludwigsburg in southern Germany on April 12 and in the northern port city of Hamburg on April 14 to be cancelled due to allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist. It is not clear yet whether the protest will be effective enough to cancel the concerts. The concert organizers were not available for comment at the time of filing this report. LASG, LCCI to train motorists on driving skills to reduce carnage

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation says it will begin the training of motorists on driving skills to reduce carnage in the state. The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Ladi Lawanson, who said this at a news conference in Ikeja on Friday, added that the training would begin on Feb. 1. Lawanson said the ministry would collaborate with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to carry out the training.He said that the workshop would be attended by drivers from government and private sectors to make Lagos a smart city of our dream. “There is the need for regular training and recertification of all professional drivers in the employ of the government and private sectors. “We need a hassle-free motoring in the state because this administration has invested so much on infrastructure of which road construction has taken a huge chunk,” he said. Banky W alerts voters to party’s changed logo

Actor turned politician, Bankole Wellington, popular known as Banky W has alerted voters in his constituency to the change in his party’s logo. He took to his social media page to reveal the logo that will feature on the ballot paper on February 16 elections, while also noting that the Independent National Election Commission misspelled his last name as “Wellineton”. “It turns out that logo that will show for MDP on the Election day ballot papers is wrong,” Banky W posted on Instagram.
